10,000 MOUNTAINS
10,000 Mountains is a multiyear project featuring paintings made in a field at the base of Pueblo Peak in Taos, NM. It’s a meditation on transformation through time – in a place, with the mountain subject, and within one’s own perception. It spans the entire cycle of seasons throughout more than a year, and in total consists of 350 14” x 11” panels arranged into five seasons of 72 panels each. Each season is approximately 8’ x 21’ in size. Winter 2021 follows on this page. The remaining four seasons will be posted in coming months.
